Once more kde demeon crashed during software update.
This time I noticed in the tray of the panel three times the same icon that i did not recognize. When clicking each instance of this icon showed a menu, with the heading "KSys TrayCmd" and with three menu options: "Hide", "Undock", and "Exit". 
Additionally the icon of an application that I run the previous evening showed the same menu.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.
