Description Shmerl 2012-08-02 20:39:08 UTC
At present, Quick Chat plasmoid takes the space of 2 icons in KDE panel no matter what the situation is. When there are no incoming messages it looks like empty space. When some message appears - avatar of the sender with messages number is show there. The UI should be more adaptive, and empty space should be collapsed when nothing is shown there. Otherwise it clutters the panel. If it's not possible for some reason (i.e. the widget requires fixed width or etc.) then the UI should be revised somehow, in order not to consume valuable panel space.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add Quick Chat plasmoid to the panel.

Actual Results:
1. Note that it takes the space of 2 icons and looks like empty space.
2. Only when some message arrives, some icons appear there.

Expected Results:
Empty space should be collapsed, until there is something to show. Otherwise it's cluttering.
