Description Christian 2012-08-02 18:39:27 UTC
Instead it sends the email to name_of_group@Domain, which bounces because of invalid email address.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure you have a recipient group in the address book somewhere.
2. Open the New Message compose window.
3. Put the cursor to the entry field for "To" address.
4. Select from the menu: Tools>Select recipients
5. Find and select the name of the Contacts group in the address book and click OK.
6. Complete and send the message.
Actual Results:
The email is sent to whatever_group_name@your_domain.

Expected Results:
The email should be sent to the recipients in the contact group (using their email addresses).

The correct recipient group name is shown in the address field, it just doesn't expand to the email addresses.

It's a nepomuk problem.
Your nepomuk must not work.

I don't understand your reply. I looked up what KDE Nepomuk is, but I don't see how it is related to this bug.
Could you be more specific? Then I can file this bug to the nepomuk bug tracker at http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/oscaf/report/1
Thank you!

I have this problem again in KDE 4.9. I created a group, added it as reciepient, and the mail got send to <groupname>@<myhostname> and nothing else.

This worked for me at some point during the otherwise horrible period through kde 4.7-4.8, but now again a major drawback in usability :(

When you mark a bug like this as "upstream", does that mean it is just sent to some limbo? Here, nepomuk should be running fine, or do I need to reboot before sending mails?
