Description tom 2012-08-02 09:28:48 UTC
If you open an archive with files or folders whose names contain CJK-characters (CJK ... Chinese - Japanese - Korean), those names are displayed as garbled text. An example can e seen under the following imageshack link.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/3/ark2p.png/

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open an archive containing file and/or folder names with CJK characters
Actual Results:
file and/or folder names displayed as garbled text

Expected Results:
file and/or folder names displayed with CJK-characters

I don't know whether it's an actual bug or just a settings problem. But neither the menu nor the arkrc file provided any option to adjust this setting. ark (and peazip, which I also tried) display at least the file name correctly, as does the file manager Dolphin.

Thanks for the report. This is likely a problem with infozip itself and is being tracked in another bug.
