I have a folder with ~200 images in it. If I enable additional information > images > size the GUI is blocked for a long time while dolphin adds the "-" below the images. (The fact that it does not actually show the sizes is another bug)

During the blocking virtuoso-t has a high cpu usage.

Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
Non-blocking UI.

Same thing happens over here when just enabling the size option.
Using 4.9.0 from gentoo's portage.

I fail to reproduce the CPU problem and the "-" problem in my Gentoo.

The "-" is only displayed if some additional information is enabled but not available, e.g. because the folder is not indexed.

I cannot reproduce the blocking behavior in Arch Linux / Dolphin 2.1.97 / KDE 4.9.97 (Tested with 293 images)

Do you have nepomuk-indexing enabled for this folder?

Can you still reproduce this behavior with Dolphin 17.12.3? Nepomuk is no longer in use, it has since been replaced by Baloo.
