Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2012-07-26 09:53:56 UTC
I usually use the Presence Applet to set a presence (that’s what it’s for, isn’t it :P) and then click it to open the contact list. When I do this, there is no indication that KTP is connecting at all and I often already clicked Offline to set my presence to online again from the contactlist.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click the presence applet and choose "Online". Contactlist not opened(!)
2. Click the presence applet to open the contact list before you are actually online.
3.
Actual Results:
The contact list says "Offline", there is no busy indicator and after it is done connecting, the contact list fills and the presence changes to Available.

Expected Results:
The same that happens when the contact list is already opened when connecting: There is a busy indicator in the presence selector indicating progress going on.

Maybe a busy indicator overlaid over the presence applet itself while connecting would be handy as well.

Agreed, confirming this bug.

Thanks.

There's a presence applet popup saying "Connecting..." btw ;)

But I agree as well.
