IMAP account folder -> retrieval tab -> retrieval options -> "Always retrieve full messages" do not stay selected after user clicks "Check Mail" (if on demand was previously selected).

Also, "Use options from parent folder or account" checkbos do not stay selected (instead it activates "Always retrieve full messages").

I can confirm this for the top imap account folder, i.e. the one that consists of the name of the account. "Always retrieve full message" does not stay selected.

Could you look at just after you change settings ?
open properties -> change "Always retrieve full message" save
->reopen it
it's still selected ?


And could you just press F5 (refresh) and look at config.


IT's imap disconnected ? or imap connected ?

The first time I change the setting to "always full retrieval" for the account folder I get an error message from akonadi. This happens for all my imap accounts, including gmail.

Account name: Error writing some annotations for "account name" on the imap server. SetAnnotation failed, server replied: A000374 BAD Unknown command: SETANNOTATION.

Yes

Pressing F5 just after I closed the dialogue with "ok": the setting is still correct.

for me always online imap, i.e. connected.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
