- What I was doing when the application crashed: I  was  using  System notifcation helper to  try  to complete some items that didn't complete during installation.  I had tried step 1  2 times (failure to download extra data files ... in  this case fonts most I think are MS origin); First one hit an i/O error; 2nd time just froze never did anything;  So I moved on to #2....which was the Dropbox install.  It said to restart Dropbox.  I hit the button and it crashed.   I just reinstalled Ubuntu & then KDE in the last 36 hours.  I've have several crashes today, but the reporting assistant never managed to get through the process.
No special  quirks in setup that I'm aware of.  Been just focusing on getting downloads & installed. its Ubuntu 12.04 ,  64b, AMD64 all AMD components installed off the Ubuntu repositories
