I'm not sure there is any point in keeping this bug open. We don't know the original user who had the problem, and Allan is deceased. I"m actually curious that nobody asked what happened if he tried to open the data file in a new instance of KMyMoney, but it seems too late for that.
I agree. The entry is date 2012 and the first version of 5.0 was released in 2018. So this must be a problem of a 4.x version after all. Let's close it as unmaintained.
