When I want to add some widgets to the desktop or to the panel, the list of available widgets appears at the bottom. But when I want to pick one, I have to navigate carefully, avoiding to touch any open windows. Because when the mouse focus changes to another application, the widget list disappears. I can move the mouse down already before opening the add widgets menu. Works, but when I want to browse categories, the category menu opens. When I select something, the mouse usually is over an application (five of my six desktops have something like a terminal on the left bottom), and the widget list disappears. My workaround is to open the dashboard before adding widgets, but I think most people don't even know about it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure your window focus is set to follow the mouse, instead of being activated my click only. 2. Right-click on the desktop, select 'Add widgets' entry. 3. Widget list appears on the bottom 4. Move the mouse cursor to any open application Actual Results: 5. The widget list is gone. Expected Results: The widget list should stay until I select a widget or explicitely close it. This is happening for years. No big deal, but it's annoying. And these little things lead to frustration for KDE users. My mom would not be able to add any widgets because of these problems.
