I was changing Byte size units from IEC units (ugh!) to JEDEC and on clicking "apply", I got a crash report. A couple of days ago, I had a similar event when I was trying to change another unhelpful KDE default (can no longer remember exactly what it was, but it was not particularly important). A knock on event in both cases was a failure to load debugging symbols; that seemed to crash as well starting a slow motion crash loop crash. Hence I cannot provide as an informative bug report as I would like. I am running a recently installed version of Kubuntu 12.03 running on an HP G32 laptop with 4GB RAM -- system monitor says only 0.96GB out of 3.7GB in use. Kernel version 3.2.0-26-generic-pae. Ihope that is sufficient to start with. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Seems to be random or only attempting to change specific parameters. 2. 3.
If you get the crash again, please add a backtrace or steps to reproduce. Even a partial backtrace might be more helpful than not adding any.

I cannot reproduce as the host has now been trashed. I would think that that particular version of KDE is now no longer maintained. Please close this bug report.
