Hi,

I'm not sure we actually want this -- we already do have a straight line tool that offers some extra options. The number of available modifier keys is already pretty limited. Alt or Meta are taken by the window manager, ctrl by the color picker, shift by the on-canvas resize brush feature.

in Bug 302545
there is the relative bug i think that config (chek the attachment in Bug 302545 ) is very good ideal and krita cant absort it
let the users choose what they want themself
that can fix the limit of the modify key but will increase your jobs
(about the alt/meta user can be reset in kde setting / unity ccsm )

I'm sorry, but I don't think we'll implement this. I know other applications have this feature, but I don't see it fit in the way Krita works.

Subscribing in case this ever changes. Its something I want to keep doing when working on game art.

Use the 'V' key to make the freehand tool paint a straight line.
