Unfortunately those backtraces only involve very generic methods and no Konversation code at all, so they're not useful to pinpoint what went wrong and what's causing it, sorry ... the only thing slightly suspicios are these hops in the Oxygen style engine:

#24 0x00007f1e4c3575fe in ?? () from /usr/lib/kde4/plugins/styles/oxygen.so #25 0x00007f1e4c350a96 in ?? () from /usr/lib/kde4/plugins/styles/oxygen.so

... but no symbols there obviously.
Comment 4 skootz 2012-06-25 03:04:17 UTC
I am running Arch linux- so I was able to recompile using the -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug switch, is there anything else I can do to get you more helpful information? I am not a developer, so I don't exactly know how to do this stuff, but I'll gladly follow any instructions necessary to help you.

Comment 5 Eike Hein 2012-06-25 03:07:34 UTC
The thing is that you don't just need debug symbols for Konversation, but also all the libraries it uses, specifically kdelibs, Qt and given the above, also the Oxygen style engine. Only then can you generate a full backtrace.

Any news on this? Could you maybe test with 1.5 RC1?
