I have an email with about 160 recipients and would like to save it as a list/group. When opening the mail and using "save list," the list dialogue that opens up contains no addresses. Subsequently, saving is not possible as it complains that there are no addresses Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a message with several addresses (to, CC, BCC) 2. click on "save list" 3. click on "save" in dialogue box Actual Results: Error message "add addresses first" (or similar), saving impossible Expected Results: addresses should be saved.
do you have nepomuk activated ? Could you post screenshot about problem ? and "ps -au |grep nepom" ? Thanjs
I was able to save the list by using "edit message (t)" and then it worked. After the upgrade to 4.8.4 it seems to work, although sometimes with delays. This seems to me like one symptom of nepomuk/akonadi being very slow in responding sometimes (sometimes it can take a minute for a message to show up in preview or to open it). There are bug reports around for this problem, so this one probably is a duplicate...
Created attachment 72115 [details] Output of ps command
Another update: I tried it again, and it takes about a minute per address to be added to the list dialogue, which of course is ridiculous... At the same time, sending an email takes about 3-4 minutes where it is greyed out. So definitely a problem with akonadi response times. Where could I look for more information? akonadiconsole Resource Schedulers show that an imap resource takes about a second per fetchitem, and in jobtracker I have a huge list of "initiated" stuff and many, many error messages: Akonadi:ItemFetchJob Failed (item query returned empty result set)
Still valid in 4.11 ?
Have used/tested this function on current git master and it appears to work as expected, although not using IMAP. So cannot reproduce.
I tested with a list with ~20 recipients and one with over 200. Both seem to work o.k.
Forgot to add: with an IMAP account and a local addressbook
