After using for many years editors as Dreamweaver, UltraEdit, NotePad++ my view for advanced text editors realy advanced! All of them give you ability to create and store profiles about diffrent remote ftp connections, and so you are focused on writing you script instead of writin long ftp URI and remember all temporary passwords for apache user account! One sunny day I dicided that I am going to use linux and speciali KDE as my Desktop and OOh suprise, I have to remember all the passords and ftp URI of all my PHP scripts 10+ clients. I desided that i have to file a bug in KDE bug database, but developer encourege me that I didn't need anything buf integrated ftp_kio. That was 2 or 3 years ago. I tried the developers advice. It is pain in the ..... ! I still have to go to work where i have NotePad++ to write my stupid PHP scrips without fear that i will delete something else! SO. KATE not so advanced text edito needs Profile where poor PHP scrip write can keep his ftp accouns so he can swich between them without too much keyboard typing! Reproducible: Always
To tell the truth, I don't really understand this report. I think password saving works if you use KWallet. If you don't you have to type it... Anyone else?
It's not about passwords , it is about Kate to have something as a project management! quote from Quanta features: "Project management, including support for local and remote (through the network) projects. Project files can be uploaded to many servers using various protocols." Maybe i just need quanta for advanced editor! :)
"Project management": Open the files you want to work on then select from the menu: "Session->Save Session". The next time you start "Session->Quick Open Session" and select the session you saved. That definitely works for me with files on a remote ftp server. I use the Plasma "Kate Session Applet" to start the sessions.

I use the > Plasma "Kate Session Applet" to start the sessions. Do you really believe that Sessions work? I've tried what you suggest me without success, no documents are stored in session!
