Description m.wege 2012-06-17 12:00:15 UTC
I just saw that it is now possible to set prefered message format and if remote content is allowed in Kaddressbook. I assume both are meant for Kmail. That is so cool. Now I would like it also to be possible to set the prerered spell checking language for a contact. So that when I write an email or an IM via telepathy to that person the right spell checking language is already selected.

Reproducible: Always

I think about it but how to define spell checking when we have:
- email1 -> english
- email2 -> french
etc ?

For me it's very difficult to make it.
same for crypto.
"I just saw that it is now possible to set prefered message format and if remote content is allowed in Kaddressbook" it's easy because we have just "one" from.

I am not sure what your question means. The basic idea would be to define a preferred communication language in the contact. If one writes an email, the first email address entered would set the spell check language, if other email addresses are added as CC, they would not be tested for preferred language. It is just meant to be as a help, not perfect. So the user can change the spell checking language manually.

yes but if 2 emails "to" has different spell check settings ?

Then the first one used would be used for determining the setting.
