Block editing should allow the selection AND modification of columns of text.  The block editor only allows selection and deletion, not insertion or modification of selected columns of text.  This is an essential feature that drastically improves the quality of an editor.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.turn on block mode
2.select column of text
3.type desired input for entire column
4.(expected) desired input is placed on every line of selected text
Actual Results:  
desired input is only inserted on line with current placement of cursor
