If I am not mistaken, the clock uses akonadi in some way. The problems started after I upgraded kde as described here: http://de.opensuse.org/SDB:KDE_Upgrade After the upgrade, whenever I log in, I get an error message "Unable to fetch item from backend". According to some information in the web, I should reset akonadi (not done yet).
