When you're a lot on irc and in a lot of channels, you'll get sometimes people that just get on your nerves. With default behaviour you issue /ignore nickname and you won't be bothered anymore by that user.

However I think everybody deservers a second, third, fourth chance... so I would suggest that you add an optional expiration parameter e.g.

/ignore nickname +2w

Which would make the ignore for that nick expire in two weeks.
