The Digital Clock widget can be scaled down until it nearly disappears. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add the Digital Clock widget to your desktop 2. Scale it down as far as possible Actual Results: There is no scale limitation. Expected Results: Widget should have a sensible minimum size.
Also, there is not way to fix the size of the applet or font used in it resizing of the panel can result of unreadable or inconvenient font size. like here: http://flic.kr/p/cmMFxE
The previos comment is also describe in Debian bug #679294 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=679294) Package: kde-plasma-desktop Version: 5:76 Severity: normal --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ===============================-+-============= kde-runtime (>= 4:4.7.4) | 4:4.8.4-1 plasma-desktop (>= 4:4.7.4) | 4:4.8.4-2 kde-workspace (>= 4:4.7.4) | 4:4.8.4-2 kde-baseapps (>= 4:4.7.4) | 4:4.8.4-1 udisks | 1.0.4-6 upower | 0.9.16-3 Recommends (Version) | Installed =============================-+-============= kdm (>= 4:4.7.4) | 4:4.8.4-2 xserver-xorg | 1:7.6+13

Does the widget disappear from the desktop, when you scale it down?
Not completely, but almost, yes. Why don't you just try it? A sensible minimum size is a size at which the widget is still usable and doesn't break (i.e. it must still look good). Currently it breaks horribly and isn't usable at all at its minimum size.
even at minimum size the time and date is still readable. I don't see the problem.
Sorry, no. The minimum size is not working at all. The time is still readable, yes, but the rest breaks completely. This has to be fixed and it can be done withing minutes. Reopening.
Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
