Description kaouete 2012-06-10 18:01:12 UTC
Hi,

Since I updated to kde 4.8.4 kmail (used in kontact) just crashes without any errors (not even drkonqi) when I click on "new email" to write an email.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Laurent Montel 2012-06-11 06:13:39 UTC

without it I can't fix it.
Do you have info from konsole ?
Comment 2 kaouete 2012-06-11 07:18:03 UTC
Hi, today I didn't even had to click, it just crashed out of the blue after being started (using kmail command line, normally I use kontact), but I got drkonqi this time.

Konsole says:
[victor@volte ~]$ kmail
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.

KCrash: Application 'kmail' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit

DrKonqi says:

Hi, it seems this is reported at arch:

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/30190
Comment 4 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-08-18 21:18:30 UTC
Your backtrace lacks debugging symbols, but that might be related to you using Arch which doesn't build their packages with debugging support. Don't know if the backtrace is useful enough for the developers...
Comment 5 Chao Feng 2013-05-05 04:24:54 UTC
Crash is gone after Arch rebuild package. See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/30190.
