Description illumilore 2012-06-07 19:03:46 UTC
in application and system notifications> manage notifications> player settings, I have use kde sound system checked, then I slide the sound system volume slider to 0% and click apply, then I test the setting by changing something but not hitting apply, then clicking overview so a noise making dialogue asking if I want to apply the settings comes up. Even though I the slider volume was set to 0, I still get an audible noise from that. The volume level does not seem to affect anything from there.

I can still go to the kmixer and change event sounds volume from there and that works just fine.

This has been removed in Plasma 5

Set "events sounds" in kmix to adjust volumes from now on which does work
