Description srikkanth87 2012-06-07 16:54:45 UTC
scan folder plugin does not load the torrent files from the specified folder automatically while running. Automatic loading happens only when ktorrent is restarted..

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure scan folder plugin to auto load torrents from folder x
2. download some torrent files into x while ktorrent is running

Actual Results:
No torrents are loaded

Expected Results:
Load all the torrents in folder x and delete the .torrent files

What does the logging say ? If you load the logviewer plugin, it should print out messages like :

"Directory dirty: /some/path" when the contents of a scanned directory changes, do you see those when you put a directory in the scanned folder ?

Hi same problem here
running on
cat /etc/debian_version
6.0.5
uname -a
Linux p2p 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sun May 6 04:01:19 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux
KDE 4.4.5
using ktorrent 4.0.2

new torrents from the scaned folder are only loaded if ktorrent is started. while running nothing happen if i put new torrents in this folder or if i create (touch) empty files or create directories
also no entries in the log (logviewer plugin)

maybe something special... my torrent and also the scanned folder are mounted via NFS from other system. (in the past on my old debian 5.x with ktorrent (version unknown) my NFS contruct worked

please let me know if I can help you with providing more logs or what else... I'm not a experienced linux user but with some guidance I think I can deliver that ever is needed

Regards
ASD

I apologize for my ignorance. Why is this bug marked as resolved?

I am a regular user. I assume that a GIT commit is sth. like a patch that sb. proposed 10 months ago (!).

Looks like when moving to KF5 this feature was missed. Have marked as a regression.
