Description Christian (Fuchs) 2012-06-06 22:37:32 UTC
The possibility to switch to a window based on the direction (above, below, left, right) does not work anymore in 4.9 beta1.

Configuration is unchanged, pressing the keyboard shortcut associated with it does nothing. Also no error message pops up in ~/.xsession-errors, sorry that I can't give more detailled information. (I hope you'll be able to reproduce it)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure a shortcut to switch to a window based on direction
2. Open multiple windows
3. Try pressing the shortcut keys associated with this action
Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Switch to window above/below/left/right of current window

This is a great feature that makes working with several windows very efficient. It would be great to have it back.

(Note that switching to the window on top (so not north, but as in a stack) or below (not as in south, but under it) still works, only switching by direction is affected)

Thanks for your good work.

*augh* I am _really_ sorry. I did a search and couldn't find it. Thanks for pointing me to the fix, and have a great day.

(Probably I am just too stupid for the new bugzilla search)

use google ;-)

PS: better report a dupe than keeping a spotted bug secret and ultimately wonder why it's not been fixed. Esp. for regressions.
