Starting from yesterday whenever I bring up the main Amarok window, I get an error window pop up saying "The server failed the authenticity check (catalog.librivox.org)". Clicking on the more information icon, I see that the certificate has expired. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch Amarok 2.View error message 3.
Confirmed, this is a problem with the librivox server, we will investigate.
Please go to the website and accept the certificate, it is a self-signed one as often with Free Software, that should work then.
Resolved accoring to Myriam's comments.
Hi, i have a question for Myriam Schweingruber and maybe Mark Fraser. What is the website that I would need to visit so that I could accept the certificate please? I have tried http://catalog.librivox.org/ , but that is not accessible. It's the only website mentioned in the bug report, please see http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=219222&d=1338840628 for an attachment. I am getting Mark's error (expired certificate) using Amarok on Ubuntu 13.10 and hoping to be able to connect to the Librivox server to search for and download audiobooks.
You can just accept that certificate forever when you click on the message to accept it, no need to go to any website.
Hi @Myriam. Thank you very much for the super-fast answer. I had pressed 'details' instead of 'continue'. Clicking 'details' didn't give me the option to accept the certificate. I no longer get the certificate error. Unfortunately, when I try to 'search' for something in Librivox using the plugin, I get no results, but I guess that this is something to do with the plugin. Would I need to raise a new bug for this?
No, that is an already known problem, no need to file a new bug.
