Description Janet 2012-05-30 21:49:09 UTC
I like to have the play buttons at the bottom of the player window, so I dragged the toolbar (big one) there. Alas contrary to former versions it does not stay there. When I close amarok and reopen it, the toolbar is loose and the window looks garbled. It does not matter if the view is locked or not.

It even doesn't help to drag the toolbar back to the top, after closing and reopening amarok it is loose again. So after every amarok start I have to drag the toolbar back into the window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unlock the view
2. drag the toolbar from top to bottom
3. close amarok, reopen it

I can confirm still exists in 2.6 beta 1.
Comment 4 Mayank Madan 2012-11-29 17:07:37 UTC
It is Reproducible in 2.6-git.
Comment 5 Mikhail Ivchenko 2013-12-01 15:34:51 UTC
Looks like it's fixed in v2.8.0
Comment 6 Myriam Schweingruber 2013-12-01 19:12:52 UTC
Still completely reproducible with v2.8.0-106-g81ad305

It is even more easy to reproduce if you have 2 screens, dragging the window from one screen to the other, then closing it will have the toolbar stick to the last window it was closed in.

Locking the layout or not has no influence on that behavior, strangely.

Comment 8 Myriam Schweingruber 2013-12-05 10:07:22 UTC
Since this is probably not specific to the toolbar, but to the layout in general, I keep this in the "general" component.
Comment 9 Myriam Schweingruber 2014-08-12 20:04:10 UTC
Still reproducible with Amarok v2.8.0-354-g4b3eaac
Comment 10 Tuomas Nurmi 2024-04-11 12:48:50 UTC
Doesn't seem to be reproducible any more in 2.9.82, so apparently got fixed during KF5 port, closing.
