Using KDE 4.8.3 / Korganizer: Attempted to set up my calendar and events for the next month on the new version of Korganizer, nothing stored when I added my changes - Instead I was presented with a message at the bottom of the screen informing me that my "Personal calendar (was) not loaded". I have been using Korganizer for a very long time and have not previously experienced this issue. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Korganizer, and select a time slot you wish to fill 2. Right click and select "New Event", enter the details into the form which appears 3. Save your changes, and look for the Error message on the bottom of your screen Actual Results: Received the error message: "Personal calendar not loaded", nothing was saved. Expected Results: Entry should have been submitted to the calendar, allowing me to continue to fill in the remainder of my next 4 weeks schedule.
strange. try this: go into Settings. General settings. Calendars tab make sure you have a Personal Calendar in there make sure that Personal Calendar is "Ready" select the Persona Calendar then press the Modify button and make sure all the settings in there are ok.
Can you post a screenshot of the actual message ? I've searched the sources for "Personal calendar not loaded" and can't find anything. I also don't recall such a message.
Thanks. Firstly, it's not resolved - please don't think it is - this is still appearing in 4.9.2, despite having done what has been suggested above by Allen - I have a personal calendar, and it's marked as ready. This is what I see when I try to save anything into Korganizer - http://imgur.com/Pkh3j As stated back in may, all i get is that message - nothing saves into Korganizer at all. Also, please excuse the gray box in the middle of the image, it's the leftover from ksnapshot :)
I think you're using the old KResource framework. 1. Right click on the calendar, go to properties, just to copy the file path of the .ics file. ( backup the file just in case) 2. Right click, Remove the calendar ( not the file! ) 3. Add a new one, choose "ICal Calendar File" type, not the "traditional" type.
Thank you Sergio :) Problem is solved, calendar is now loading on first open of Korganizer, information is getting stored and coming back again when I reopen the calendar :D WFM!
