Every time I click on a link on Facebook I briefly see a small window saying "Please, login to continue", and I must enter my login user-name and password again. This happens only when I use the Webkit view mode. The former happens also with Rekonq. When I use KHTML mode, instead, the page seems to be loading, but never fully loads (status-bar always shows 99% loaded). Furthermore, Facebook chat window in KHTML mode is not available. Reproducible: Always
I have a same problem ... I Use 4.8.3 (4.8.3) "release 504" ^^'
I cannot reproduce this. I was about to state that this is a downstream issue since all Debian based distros package a very very old version of kwebkitpart. However, that is eliminated as the potential source of this issue since you stated that you can reproduce it with reKonq as well.
Hmm, I see. This is odd. For what it's worth it, however, Aristide should be on OpenSuse, and he still got the same issue. Let me know if I can help to debug this issue further.
My Kwebkitpart version 1.2.0git20111019-40.3. I try to see if I can find more recent
Ok with 1.3.0.60.git.1331403068-173.2 it is a same problem.
Out of curiosity can either one of you provide information about your cookiejar configuration ? Which options are enabled/disabled ? I cannot personally reproduce this problem with facebook (konqueror+webkit).
Ahhh... There was a cookie related bug that was fixed recently that could have potentially caused this bug based on your timezone. See bug# 298660. Can any one of you test this with the latest everything (KDE 4.9.1 and kwebkitpart 1.3.0) and see if you can reproduce the problem ?
