Description Tim De Baets 2012-05-28 19:08:20 UTC
A user of my WMP Tag Plus plug-in has reported that the track length isn't being read for his Musepack files. Further testing showed that all audio properties returned by TagLib for these files are zero. Could this be caused by the fact that the files in question are Musepack SV8 files? Audio properties are still correct for SV7 files.

By looking at the files' tags, they seem to be created by MAGIX Samplitude. If requested, I could upload such a file for investigation.

Reproducible: Always

Yes, Musepack SV8 files are not currently supported.

Then this bug report can be seen as a feature request instead :) Are there any plans to add such support?
Comment 3 Antonski 2012-06-01 21:45:48 UTC
Please, add SV8 support, the format was finalized 3 years ago!

I can confirm that this issue has been fixed (already since TagLib 1.8), so I'm changing the status to Resolved Fixed.
