Please run digiKam through GDB to get a debug backtrace :

Your backtrace is uncomplete. into GDB, when digiKam crash, enter "bt" to get the full list of application calls to see exactly where crash appear...

Which kipi-plugins and boost library version you use ?

Gilles Caulier
Comment 6 philcat.carrara 2012-05-28 10:40:18 UTC
/usr/lib/libkipiplugins.so.2.0.0 installed by make install (digikam)

/usr/lib/libboost_XXX.so.1.46.1 from libboost-XXX1.46 Ubuntu packages
Comment 7 caulier.gilles 2012-05-28 10:44:20 UTC
We need the exact kipi-plugins version. Go to Help button of plugin dialog, and open About dialog.

I have two question for you :
 - What version of Hugin do you have?
 - What does the standalone version of the panorama sticher (panoramagui) do with the same photos?

I meant: backtrace similar to the one posted in Bug #302660.

Ok, then I have to investigate more on that error. Can you send me (both of you if you want) the orginal photos (to my private email)?

I forgot to add that it used to work before: I already successfully created panorama using Digikam embedded feature; although I cannot remember what version it was (all I can tell is that it was in May 2012, either with the standard Ubuntu's Digikam, or with the Digikam shipped then by Phillip5's Ubuntu repository https://launchpad.net/~philip5/+archive/extra).
Comment 17 Benjamin Girault 2012-09-12 17:56:06 UTC
This bug should be fixed since digiKam 2.8.0 (I forgot to close it). Can you try this version, or any newer version?
Comment 18 philcat.carrara 2012-09-13 19:02:57 UTC
With digikam 2.8, panorama woks fine.
