Description Simon Reed 2012-05-21 08:13:14 UTC
Application: marble (1.2.2 (stable release))
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.4 (4.7.4)
Qt Version: 4.7.4
Operating System: Linux 3.0.0-19-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I opened Marble, which opened in a window of 1/4 screen size. I double-clicked on western Africa until I saw the name of Western Sahara. I then clicked on the cross to terminate Marble - it crashed.

I am NOT using Unity.

As I write this I am trying to reproduce the fault but letting Marble 'rest' for one minute before clicking on the cross ... it crashed again.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Marble Virtual Globe (marble), signal: Segmentation fault

New crash information added by DrKonqi

marble (1.2.2 (stable release)) on KDE Platform 4.7.4 (4.7.4) using Qt 4.7.4

Marble will crash when it is windowed or maximised.
I have tried closing when zoomed right in and zoomed out - it crashes on closure.
I have tried clicking on the cross and using File, Quit - it crashes in both cases.
I have turned off everything in the legend - it crashes on exit.
I have tried with the view set to Atlas, Satellite View, and Mercator projection - it crashes on exit for each. (It does remember the settings for the next session.)
I downloaded the 1895 Lowell Mars map - it crashed on exit.

Marble crash log (gdb)

Full crash information with gdb and '--debug-info'

Version 1.2.2 (stable release) Using KDE Development Platform 4.7.4 (4.7.4)

Done similar tests to Simon Reed tests with tha same results.
Whatever I do, Marble crashes on exit.
I can't retrieve useful crash information with Dr.Konqi (marble debug symbols installed)

Tell me if you need testing.

Version 1.2.2 (stable release)
Using KDE Development Platform 4.8.3 (4.8.3)

Problem solved for me. With this new version I seem not able to reproduce the crash on exit.
