Unable to open desktop effects - cannot get solution in various kubuntu forumsUnsure if problem is associated with my NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (post-release updates) (version current-updates)

please do not report bugs to seek for user help, a bugtracker is technically not very suited for such.

(but you likely just lack libxdamage1 and or libxcomposite1 packages or have installled a wrong version. relevant information will be the output when starting "kwin --replace&" from konsole as well as /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
