Will this pre-release affect my installation with digikam 2.5? Axel
2.6.0 have been released as tarball. Itcan beavailable as binary in your distro (i know Dedian one, or Mageia) You can compile it yourself too... More than 4 month separate 2.5.0 and 2.6.0 with more than 100 bugs fixed and a lots of new features. It will affect your 2.5.0 of course, excepted if you use a different computer or a virtual machine to test... Gilles Caulier

I do not try to install by tarball, as I am not familiar with that. Maybe I then risked more than an installation. Axel
Axel, With 3.5.0, i introduced parallelization of tasks in Maintenance tool using multi-core CPUs. Performance are really improved with huge collections. Please give us a feeback with this release... Gilles Caulier

digiKam 4.12.0 is out : https://www.digikam.org/node/741 We need a fresh feedback using this release please... Thanks in advance.
With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible. I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary. Gilles Caulier
