On a laptop Under windows vista 64, it's impossible to save anything, it freezes everytime.
Hm... I'm sure that's not happening for everyone. It isn't for me on Windows 7 64 bits. Is there anything special about your setup? Are you running/installing as administrator?

All the bugs and crashes under windows are related to creating and saving. But it's hard to report, because the backtrace is always not enough for the bugtracker... Frustrating.
hrm I might have an old discarded disk with an old vista installation somewhere. I'll try to find that...
You could do two things that possibly help: if you get a dr konqui window, just paste the backtrace here anyway, no matter what the dialog tells you. I might just be able to make something of it.. The second is to install debugview and paste the debug output of krita here. I'm myself on windows atm, rebuilding the installer and checking the bugs.

Hm,. that doesn't look related.

And Krita 2.5 works a little better ( the freeze is not fatal, but everything is reaaaaaalllly slow with files operations ) when the calligra suite has been installed...

I don't bother you anymore with this one !
Ok! It remains a weird thing that this could happen, but I'm glad it's resolved for you!
