Description K. A. Sayeed 2012-05-16 13:14:29 UTC
Application: kontact (4.8.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.8.2 (4.8.2)
Qt Version: 4.8.1
Operating System: Linux 3.2.0-24-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

1. The user was trying to attach some files to an e-mail message that was being sent using Kmail.

2. Since the Kmail attachment function could not find the files (these files were existing files that were displayed by Dolphin), the system was restarted in order to resolve the failure of Kmail to find existing files that needed to be attached to the e-mail message.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

1. The user was attempting to attach files (that did exist in a folder) to an e-mail message. However, the system did not display these files in the attachment dialog box even though it should have displayed them. The user tried to resolve this problem by restarting the system. After the user clicked on the restart button the system shut down application windows and then dispayed the KDE Crash Handler dialog box.

2. Also, the computer system was unusually slow.

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kontact (4.8.4) on KDE Platform 4.8.4 (4.8.4) using Qt 4.8.1

I see this crash almost every time I log out without first closing Kontact.
