It may or may not be relevant in this case, but sometimes it is essential to know what distro you are using, and what version of KMM. If there needs to be further follow up in this case, perhaps you would give those details.

Next, have you checked your KDE locale settings? You should be able to set the delimiter from KMM settings (language), then Group Separator.

Do any other KDE programs display this seting correctly? (KSpread?)
Comment 2 Pierre Wassef 2012-05-16 15:07:24 UTC
Hello, my KMM version is 1.0.4 using KDE 3.5.10, and of course I used
the KDE system settings. I got it recently using Synaptic.
I cannot compare because I do not have any other appropriate KDE program.

To be clear, you did set the group separator to ' '?

Oh dear! I'm not certain that that version is supported now.

The latest version is 4.6.2, using KDE4. You didn't say what distro version you have but, with Synaptic, it's possibly an Ubuntu or similar.

Have you considered updating your distro, to one using/supplying KDE4?

On the other hand, having changed my locale, it rather looks like 4.6.2 does not accept that separator, either.
