Description Lyshenko 2012-05-14 10:57:17 UTC
Tested on iPod nano 3g (MB245LL) Firmware version 1.1.3 (latest)
While copying m4b files to iPod they are converted into video files. The result: they are not fount neither in Audiobooks nor in Music. They are played under Video/Movies as video files with the black screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click on any file like this http://download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/g_E_201207.m4b and "Copy to Collection" -> "iPod"
2. Take a look in the same track under iPod. Right Click "Edit track details". We can see smth like this /media/IPOD/iPod_Control/Music/F01/kpod0130963.mp4 instead of .m4b
3. We have a problem of playing audio file.
Actual Results:
Audio files can't be found in their due places. Can't be listen to in normal mode of audio playing of iPod (having screen off )

Expected Results:
m4b should be found under Audiobooks
Amarok should not try to convert or rename m4b files

This bug prevent some people to use Linux instead of Windows. They should use VirtualMachine to use iTunes

Which Amarok version is this about? There has been an extensive rework in the iPod related code for Amarok 2.,6, please test with Amarok 2.5-git if possible.

This has been alredy fixed in current Amarok development version, see original bug. (if you switch to Amarok development version or Amarok 2.6, you need to fully rescan your collection to take advantage of the fix)
