Description james 2012-05-13 20:08:42 UTC
See steps to reproduce for one example. The album GUI has exhibited a variety of glitches, both visual and actual, in most major versions of digikam that I have used over many years. Don't get me wrong, I love digikam (I'm still using it after all these years), but I feel these glitches are just one symptom of a more fundamental "glitching" problem throughout the application.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select, say, fourth image in an album which has many images.
2. Right click on album tree, New, create the new folder.
3. Click on the original album you were looking at
4. Shift-select the first image.
Actual Results:
All images from the fourth to the last are selected

Expected Results:
Just images from the first to the fourth should have been selected.

I can't really reproduce this one. Are the glitches you mention usually associated with Shift+click selection?

Not reproducible here too. I's probably a video card drivers problem.

Do you know how I would be able to investigate and confirm that? Thanks.

Try with another computer, for ex, with a boot DVD...

Cannot reproduce using Digikam 2.8.0 on Ubuntu 12.10. However, the expected result is still not achieved - after doing the above steps, only images 1 to 3 are selected (and the status bar at the bottom confirms: 3/229 items selected). I'd still expect images 1 to 4 to be selected.
