Currently no zoom level of the icon view lets me view 32x32 icons pixel-for-pixel. I have a large collection of 32x32 icons that I'm using for a website, and I would like to be able to view them pixel-for-pixel. Unfortunately the next zoom level after 24x24 is 40x40, 32x32 is skipped. This is a widely used icon size, please support it. Reproducible: Always
A more general solution would be to display an image unscaled if the current zoom level is the *lowest* of all zoom levels for which the unscaled image would fit completely in the thumbnail cell. This way, if the icons in my collection are e.g. 37x32, then I could choose the 40x40 zoom level and see unscaled icons, while at higher zoom levels they would still be magnified.
Do you mean icons or image thumbnails?
Image thumbnails, sure! It's just that in my motivating case the images being thumbnailed happen to be icons :)
There is a hidden setting for this in 4.8.3: Open your ~/.kde/share/config/dolphinrc file and below [General] insert the line: EnlargeSmallPreviews=false Dependent on the feedback on bugs.kde.org I might make this hidden option public in future and will set this bug then as resolved.
I just wanted to create a report for this. Yes, please add the option to not scale previews up to the GUI! Can I use this now hidden setting also when I use konqueror to view a directory ? In which config file ?
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
There is now a 32x32 icon size.
