Hello, is there any way to set custom folder settings without the need of the command SETANNOTATION? I just get the error" Failed to write some annotations" if i try to set any properties for a folder. This worked fine in kmail1 and i really need that, but i'm using a Debian Server with Dovecot and a plugin for SETANNOTATION is only available in alpha status without the availability of a package. This must be a bug, because it's a standard function of a mail client and there can't be the need for a special plugin.... :-( Thanks Reproducible: Always
I get the same error message when setting folder properties on an IMAP mailbox, but despite the message the property (e.g. "Act on messages in this folder") does become set, so it seems the error message should not have been displayed. The full message is: <Account Name>: Failed to write some annotations for '<Folder Name>' on the IMAP server. SetAnnotation failed, server replied: A000064 BAD Unknown Command: SETANNOTATION Bugs 284527 and 284546 are duplicates of this.
I confirm it. Don't know why there is this error.

The IMAP resource has a new maintainer, reassigning to him.
Does this still apply to master? METADATA has been implemented recently, so this might already fix your problem, otherwise I would need to know what exactly you are trying to do (what do you refer to by "custom folder properties")?
