I very often find myself saving a file (typically mail attachments in kmail) and then immediately navigating to its location to open it with an appropriate application. It would be great if all kde "save file" dialogs had a checkbox option "open after saving". I think it does not spoil the simplicity of the "save file" dialog as its meaning is intuitively understandable by everybody. Note that I am aware that I could open the file directly in kmail and then choose "save as" from the file dialog of the application. But this way I do not profit from kmails remember save folder feature. I would need to navigate all the way from the /tmp directory to the required target folder. Similar applies for other KDE software. Therefore I often choose the "save as" option and open the file later. Reproducible: Always
