Either when I run filters manually, or sometimes just when starting KMail, I get loads of "Conflict resolution" messages about emails. I cannot see any difference between the Left and Right emails. I do not use IMAP. Reproducible: Sometimes
In the example in the screenshot, that email is 3 weeks old and I have long since read it.
I have just amended a filter and manually re-run filters. Of my 700 emails, last time it flagged up 40 or so requiring "Conflict resolution". This time it has done so over 150 times. I have to pick "Keep Both" as the poorly-designed dialog box makes it too hard to visually compare the differences. I now have 973 emails so there must be about 250 potential duplicates now, with no easy way or working out which of each I need to keep. What is the conflict that needs resolving? Why does it do this?
We need to have infos about which filters create conflicts.
need infos.
By selecting all the messages in my Inbox, then manually running each filter in turn, the first problem I encountered was with "Filter Spam Handling" which gave me this when about 19% through my 1191 emails: http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/screenshot-100512-115714.php Then at 25% through: http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/screenshot-100512-120433.php I got two more such dialog boxes. I have never seen "blank" emails in the conflict message before. It then came up with this conflict resolution dialog box: http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/screenshot-100512-120912.php which appeared twice, then it transferred all but 10 of my emails into the SPAM folder. :-( The 'usual' conflict resolution did not appear - it doesn't when I manually apply the filters. It only occurs when filters are applied automatically. I shall try disabling all my 'personal' filters and see if the conflict resolution problem occurs using only the out-of-the-box spam handling filters.
I experience this problem once in a while too. Any message can lead to this problem. It appears to happen more often if more messages are filtered (hit ctrl + j several times) Do you want copies of the contents of the resoluction dialog?
