Some people use VPN to browse the web or use p2p apps in order to preserve their privacy. If connection is lost, NM tries to reconnect, something that just doesn't makes any sence if the purpose of VPN is keeping your real IP in secret. There should be an option to tell NM not to reconnect if VPN is used in "privacy mode". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure a VPN in NM. 2. Shutdown the VPN server. 3. Observe how your privacy is going away while NM is reconnecting the webpages and p2p apps with your real IP. Actual Results: I loose my privacy. Expected Results: Keep my PC offline until the VPN server is back (or until I choose another connection method).

I don't see how bug 224795 (nor the upsream bug in the comments of that bug) is fixing in any way this problem. Bug 224795 is marked as "RESOLVED UPSTREAM", but there isn't any fix. Mind to explain me if I'm wrong? And if so, where is the solution?
Plasma NM or any other NetworkManager client does not do reconnections. It is up to NetworkManager to reconnect a connection and specially for VPN it never does reconnections or auto-connections. There is nothing we can do from here. Please do not change the resolution of a bug when a developer changes it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 224795 ***
