The context menu of an app on the panel doesn't have option to select which activity the app should appear on. This is a problem when running MSOffice2007 applications with wine, because these apps do not have the traditional icon in the upper left corner, hence one cannot access the activity selection submenu. Additionally, MSO2007 apps appear on all activities by default (maybe this later is a wine bug, don't know). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start an MSOffice 2007 app, e.g. Word2007 2. Notice that you cannot use the titlebar to reach the context menu to change activity 3. Right click the app on the panel. There is possibility to change virtual desktop, but no chance to change activity 4. Change activity. The app is still visible. It is on all activities. Actual Results: Cannot choose activity from panel icon. Expected Results: Panel context menu should have an option to select activity for an app, just as it has option to select virtual desktop
A bug has been filed to wine bugzilla about this issue, but they address different aspects: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30517
Which exact KDE version is this about?
Sorry for late response. I currently use 4.8.3.
Thanks for your feedback.
The same applies to Office 2010 apps. The titlebar cannot be used to change activity, and by default apps are visible on all activities. No problem with other MS Windows apps. Using KDE 4.8.5 now.
