I tryed install KDE for Windows and, at installation, a file is with invalid checksum. I need inform here: this is my fourth try to install KDE on MS Windows (I'm always at Linux, and I install here when I need use this system), and it's the fourth install with some file missing or checksum error at mirrors since KDE for Windows was released, the I think this is a point who need some attention. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the installer 2. Choose the MingW 64 bits 3. Start installation Actual Results: The file at http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/releases/stable/zashin-x64-mingw4-0.2.0-bin.tar.bz2 was a checksum error Expected Results: No checksum error.
Ok, this seems to be the actually not your fault but the packaging error - the files on the server that contain the md5 checksums are incorrect. This bug can be easily resolved by packagers by updating those .md5 files. I guess you even can do that manually - do md5sum on the zanshin tarball and save the output to the corresponding .md5 file - i guess the installer will use that and that'll be your workaround for this package.
I checked the md5 sum on the server md5sum -c zanshin-x64-mingw4-0.2.0-bin.tar.bz2.md5 zanshin-x64-mingw4-0.2.0-bin.tar.bz2: OK
