Description marico 2012-03-27 06:31:10 UTC
Environment :
OS:Suse12.1

Steps to reproduce:
1.Try to configure xorg.conf or use CCC to set the system as dual-head mode
2. restartx
3. you will see a momently corruption/flickering in the duration of startx

Tests and Workaround:
1. if we change the defaultdisplay as :0.0 in the script startx, the issue will not happen
2.we just start "xinit" firstly , and then export DISPLAY=:0.0 ,and startkde, the issue will not happen. But if we don't export the DISPLAY, and startkde, the issue will happen

It seems that the env DISPLAY will make KDE do different behavior , and KCM_INIT will not run in the dual-head with the original env DISPLAY=:0 (if we try to set it to :0.0, KCM_init will works well )

Bug was reported against KDE4 and pertains to dualhead (as distinct from multi-monitor), neither of which are officially supported anymore.
