Description illumilore 2012-03-23 21:21:06 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build Identifier:

I load up any application (such as okular or libreoffice), then when I hit ctrl-s to bring up the save as window, the window comes up, but is blank. The mouse cursor changes to the two rotating balls indicating that it is waiting on something. After about a minute, the information in the save as window finally shows up, but the window is still completely unresponsive. The mouse pointer still shows that it is busy. In the part of the window where it normally shows the files, nothing is there and it is blank. There is a progress bar with 0% in the lower left of that part of the window. After another 3 or 4 minutes, files finally show up and the mouse cursor turns normal, but the window still does not respond to any input. The window also doesn't close and has to be terminated. The only feedback from a terminal running the program is:
okular(11122)/kdeui (kdelibs) KXMLGUIClient::~KXMLGUIClient: 0x225b980 deleted without having been removed from the factory first. This will leak standalone popupmenus and could lead to crashes.
I would take a picture of the save as window, but then ksnapshot crashes when I try to save the picture.

Do you have any remote folders in the places panel?

I had a samba folder mounted in /mnt in which I later turned that computer off, but I don't recall bookmarking it that location.

This bug is marked critical, but it hasn't received any attention since 2012. Doesn't seem very critical. Can it be closed?

5+ years old - closing. Feel free to comment if it happens again.
