Description Diego Agulló 2012-03-15 18:51:23 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu/11.10 Chromium/18.0.997.0 Chrome/18.0.997.0 Safari/535.15
Build Identifier:

When using numbers 9,22337203685e+18 in binary (just the leftmost bit of 64 bits activated) the result is not being displayed as expected (one "1" and 63 "0"s).

As the main window is not easily resizeable, the real result can be hidden without the user noticing it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. From a new KCalc instance, set the "Numerical System Mode" from the Settings Menu. Enable "Show Bit Edit" as well, from the same menu.
2. Click on the first checkbox on the bit editor.
3. Check the result.
Actual Results:
46 digits are shown (the number may vary, I guess).

Expected Results:
The software should have shown the whole 64 digits. Maybe a multi-line result box could be the solution.

Using mosaic mode in kwin and leaving KCalc window unfloating makes all the digits to be displayed, if the screen size is enough.

I can confirm this issue and will look into a good solution. As a (admittedly poor) workaround, you can of course set the font to a smaller size. Sans-Serif size 8 seems to be sufficient for me. But this is much smaller than I would want so I will look into a better solution.

Seems it is now fixed and the bug can be fixed.

1. set the "Numerical System Mode" from the Settings Menu.
2. Enable "Show Bit Edit" as well, from the same menu

Window automatically became wider. See screenshot.
