When I type a recipient email address when composing a mail, kmail only offers (autocompletes) addresses from the "recently used addresses" list, *not* from my address book(s). Observed behavior / repro steps (happens every time): 1. Start composing a mail 2. Start entering an address 3. Observe how only email addresses from "Recently used" are offered by the autocompletion process Expected behavior: Addresses from "recently used" *and* addresses from all my configured address books are offered by autocompletion
I confirm this bug on Kubuntu 11.10 w backports ppa and on Kubuntu 12.40 Beta, both using KDE 4.8.1
(In reply to comment #1) > I confirm this bug on Kubuntu 11.10 w backports ppa and on Kubuntu 12.40 > Beta, both using KDE 4.8.1 I can also confirm it using Kubuntu 11.10 w backports ppa and an ownCloud DAV resource.
This seems to be a duplicate of bug #259949.
Actually it isn't, #259949 is about only akonadi addressbooks being used. This one is about akonadi addressbooks being NOT used.
I can confirm that KDE 4.8.3 is still affected this bug.
