Description Matthias 2012-03-15 04:56:21 UTC
Hello,

not sure what's wrong, but after sending a mail I alway get a "Local Folders: Error: Unsupported type" error. Not sure what's the problem :-( After that i see the "E-mail successfully sent" message, It could be a problem with saving the mail in the SENT-Folder? But the message is in there after that.

Thanks

After every mail i sent i see this error message:

Behind that error is the "E-Mail successfully sent" window.

I get the same error with KDE 4.8.2 on Kubuntu 12.04.
Comment 4 Rüdiger 2012-06-02 18:43:52 UTC
And upgrade to 4.8.3 seems to have fixed the issue.
Comment 5 Rüdiger 2012-06-03 13:13:51 UTC
I could reproduce the error. The error occurs when I send an email with a .tar.gz file attached. This still happens on 4.8.3.
Comment 6 Laurent Montel 2012-12-27 16:36:57 UTC
Could you still reproduce in 4.9/4.10 ?
if yes could you send me an email example in private ?
Comment 7 Martin Koller 2013-02-10 13:58:27 UTC
Is this report still valid ?
Comment 8 Rüdiger 2013-02-11 10:55:18 UTC
I still get this error message on KDE 4.9.4 (KUbuntu 12.10). It usually occurs after a wake up of the laptop and can be fixed by restarting the Mail Dispatcher Agent in the Akonadi Console. I have no reliable way to reproduce the issue and I don't know how to extract any further debug information from the Mail Dispatcher. Is there a log? Should I attach gdb?
Comment 9 Paul Gideon Dann 2014-04-09 09:26:07 UTC
This has just started happening for me in KDE 4.12.4, immediately after upgrade.
Comment 10 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:04:05 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 11 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:06:43 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
